About the role Thiess is seeking a dynamic Mine Technology Analyst to join our team based from our Head Office in South Bank, Brisbane.
As Mine Technology Analyst, you will play a crucial role in deploying, supporting, and optimising Operational Technology (OT) systems across our diverse mining sites. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the highest level of availability for these systems while maximising user engagement to fully support our business requirements. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most diversified mobile equipment fleets in the global mining services industry.
Additionally, you'll apply your analytical and technical skills to enhance our asset management and maintenance capabilities. Your central focus will be on improving reliability, availability, productivity, and cost efficiency of our world-class mining operations.
Additionally, you will: Monitor support portals for trends, liaise with stakeholders, act as the escalation point for technical issues, and collaborate across departments to improve processes and outcomes.Provide advanced triage for hardware and software issues, offer guidance on OEM sensor systems, and manage support tickets in vendor portals.Identify and recommend enhancements through audits, training, and support processes. Review change requests and prepare functional specifications in consultation with stakeholders.Conduct audits of Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and High Precision GPS systems, recommending improvements to both systems and processes.Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and installation standards while promoting best practices and contributing to system configuration standardization across Thiess projects.About you You will maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Maintaining a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will contribute significantly to the overall success of Thiess operations, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Additionally, you have: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering.Project management competency (preferred).Cert IV Training & Assessment (preferred).Minimum of 5 years mining experience.Minimum of 5 years' experience providing user system support and systems analysis.Minimum of 2 years' experience managing complex projects.Please note that this role will be a full-time permanent position and applications for this role will close on Tuesday 15th October 2024.
