Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Dawson is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett.
Job DescriptionWe currently have vacancies for experienced Dozer Push Operators at our Dawson mine. You will work as part of a team demonstrating safe working behaviours and practices to achieve set targets. This is a full-time, permanent position and currently works a 7 on/7 off Day Night Roster.
As part of Mine Services, you will contribute to a team dedicated to delivering critical tasks on time and to a high standard. Dozer experience in bench levelling and area preparation is mandatory (2 years minimum dozer experience) with skills on Graders, Excavators, Front end Loaders and Heavy Vehicle Float highly regarded.
To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
