We are currently looking for aMine Geologistthat wants to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role supporting our western based operations - Airly Mine, Clarence Colliery and Springvale Colliery.

Reporting to the Technical Services Teams, your responsibilities will include

Assessment of underground roadways
Ongoing development of the geological structural model
Developing hazard plans
Interpretation of surface to seam and inseam boreholes
Coal quality management
Strata monitoring data collection, database management and data analysis
Oversight of the surface exploration drilling program

Suitable candidates will have

Tertiary Qualifications in Geology
A minimum of 3 years previous experience working as a Geologist in an underground coal mine
Sound computer literacy skills and proficiency in AutoCAD and geological / geotechnical databases
Excellent work ethic and attendance record
Commitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targets
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
