Perth Airport Location - 7/7 - 12hr Days & Nights RosterCompany contribution to private health insurancePerformance, Retention and Profit Share BonusesWork for a high performing iron ore companyAbout the role Our Integrated Remote Operations team is seeking applications from experienced Mine Controllers to join them based at our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Perth. Reporting to the Supervisor Control you will coordinate and optimise the movement of manual and autonomous mining equipment in and around the mine pit to ensure the extraction of material in a safe and timely manner. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mine site, coordinating activities, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Duties: Monitor and control all site operations to ensure compliance with safety and operational standardsCoordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of mining activitiesUtilise control systems and dashboards to optimise production processes and minimise downtimeRespond promptly to any operational issues, providing solutions and support to the teamMaintain accurate records of all mining activities and report on performance metricsEnsure adherence to integrated remote operations policies and proceduresParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencySkills and experience: Demonstrated mine control experience using a mine fleet management system Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to make strong stakeholder relationshipsDemonstrated ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure to meet deadlinesEvidence of working safely, understanding safety or safe systems of workStrong understanding of mine site safety and operational proceduresProficiency in using computers and softwareExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisionsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with multiple departments.Perth ROC Facilities: Free on-site parking at remote operational centre (ROC)Modern spacious office with break-out facilitiesIn-house café providing variety of hot & cold food options and barista coffeeActive social club with community events and activities for employeesLifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your familyAbout the Company: Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.
