Lyell McEwin Family Clinic and Modbury Hospital Women's and Paediatric Clinic.These outpatient clinics within the Women and Children's Division at NALHN play an integral role across the Division, providing antenatal care to the women of Northern Adelaide.We provide a family friendly environment and service for the families of Northern Adelaide.As a Midwife Consultant you will work closely with the Advanced Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of the clinics and provision of high-quality care to NALHN consumers.As a Midwifery Consultant you will provide clinical expertise at the point of care through sound clinical judgement and decision making on matters such as clinical assessment, and the provision of care and treatment.The Midwifery Consultant position is considered to be an expert and knowledgeable resource in their specialty.In this role you will also be expected to have a key role in change management, and have a good, if not expert, understanding of quality improvement methodology, and how this is applied to practice as a service through clinical governance.To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.Applicants are encouraged to discuss the flexible working arrangements for this role.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.Check(s) DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g.aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients) Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances) SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.Job Ref: 867092 Enquiries Marnie Aldred Midwifery Director Phone: 0403 064 907 E-mail: ****** Application Closing Date 14 June 2024 -
