The Role: The Midwife Manager – Birthing Services is an important leadership role responsible for the operational management and strategic direction of the Birthing Services team at John Hunter Hospital. This role oversees the Birth Suite, Maternity Assessment Day Unit (MADU), Birth Centre, Hunter Midwifery Group Practice, Belmont Midwifery Group Practice, and the M3 Team. As a key leader, you will inspire and support a team of dedicated midwives, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and women-centred care. You will drive clinical excellence, manage workforce planning, and support the professional development of staff while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment focused on improving outcomes for women, newborns, and their families.

Requirements:Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Recent and extensive post-registration clinical experience within the public health setting, with recent experience in midwifery management positions and post-graduate management qualification and/or relevant experience.For role related queries or questions contact Jennifer Haxton on ******.
