Mid-Tier or Senior Solicitors x 2 - Port Pirie, Whyalla or Mount Gambier Women's Legal Service (SA) is seeking to appoint two Mid-Tier or Senior Solicitors on a contract basis to provide legal services from our Port Pirie, Whyalla or Mount Gambier offices.
You will play a crucial role in supporting women and families in need across regional South Australia.
What you'll be doing Provide legal advice and representation to clients across a range of family law, domestic violence, child protection and other matters Engage in community legal education and outreach to raise awareness of legal rights and services Collaborate with other service providers to deliver holistic support to vulnerable clients Contribute to policy and law reform initiatives to improve outcomes for women and children Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals as required What we're looking for Admitted as a solicitor in South Australia with 3+ years' post-admission experience Demonstrated expertise in family law, child protection, domestic violence and other areas of community law Excellent client service skills, with the ability to compassionately support vulnerable clients Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders Commitment to social justice and improving access to legal services for disadvantaged communities Willingness to travel to regional locations and work flexibly as required What we offer As a not-for-profit organisation, we provide a supportive and flexible work environment with opportunities for professional development.
