The In reach / Outreach / Brief Intervention (IOBI) multidisciplinary team will provide brief intervention for clients accessing AOD services and will also provide in reach and outreach services. The In-Reach component will bring the team's community expertise into the hospital care setting. The outreach component will work with individuals with ongoing AOD issues who have had experiences that have impacted them to engage with services.
Provide an effective and efficient Social Work/Counselling/Psychologist service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care for patients receiving substance use treatment including providing support, education and resources as required. To actively participate and contribute to the continued development of the clinical role in the AOD service utilising the principles of Trauma Informed Care.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS. Qualifications eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or qualifications eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia; or a Bachelor degree in Counselling or related field, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. Demonstrated current clinical knowledge, skills and ability to effectively assess, provide counselling and formulate treatment plans utilising the principles of trauma informed-care in substance use disorders. Demonstrated excellence in completing psychosocial assessments, planning and intervention for complex patient/family presentations in the health context. Demonstrated ability to facilitate interagency meetings to coordinate care planning for complex patients. Demonstrated commitment and highly developed skills in working autonomously and within a team approach, alongside other disciplines and the broader community on alcohol and other drugs issues. Demonstrated ability to participate in and evaluate quality improvement initiatives, research, and service development processes. Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written and computer skills, and ability to manage a significant workload. Current NSW Drivers' License and willingness to travel. Need more information?
