About the Role: This role involves supporting timely and accurate customer billing, meter reading, and handling special billing arrangements.
Location: Adelaide CBD Deadline: 8 AM - 7 November Duration: ASAP until December 2024 with chance of extension Capacity: Full time - work in the office five days a week Key Responsibilities: Customer Billing and Meter Reading: Complete emails and CSIS PWQs before the billing schedule.
Finish Maximo Queues within 5 business days.
Perform weekly bill intercepts (online and manual).
Action unrecorded meter changes daily.
Investigate and verify out-of-tolerance meter readings.
Resolve estimates to prevent bill shocks and support CRM projects weekly.
Billing for Special Arrangements: Ensure timely and accurate billing for key customers under special contracts.
Investigate hydrant rejected reads and apply late fees during the billing cycle.
Action emails and CRM cases within 5 business days.
Complete manual and online bill intercepts weekly.
Financial Obligations and Audit Adherence: Complete reconciliations and resolve errors by monthly due dates.
Maintain a register of unclaimed monies and transactional records for auditing.
Perform daily cash uploads to allocate received monies accurately.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and participate in business improvement and efficiency opportunities.
Lead reviews of work practices, define business requirements, and implement change initiatives.
Improve administrative and technical processes within Account Integrity & Billing.

Ability to understand and interpret relevant Acts, regulations, and policies.
Clear and objective thinker with good judgment and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of SA government billing practices (desirable).
