Your primary responsibility is to drive to an allocated route each day and complete the exchange of water meters, reading and recording all details in an electronic hand-held device. No experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to perform the role safely. About the role As a Water Meter Exchanger, you will be responsible for driving to an allocated route each day and completing the exchange of water meters, reading and recording all details in an electronic hand-held device.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that the correct exchange procedures are followed Ensure to notify property owners or occupants whenever feasible before replacing any meters Ensure that meters are replaced safely in line with the ARA health and safety procedures Verify that the replacement of a meter is recorded, and confirm that the owner or occupant has been notified about the meter replacement Understand and ensure efficiency targets are met Uphold the ARA safety standards and publicly represent ARA and our clients in a professional manner Regularly communicate with office support team Upload and download route information to and from hand-held device Report to office as required Work independently What you need Sound mechanical aptitude Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail is required Able to undertake plenty of walking, bending and squatting (Good level of fitness and physical ability Able to work in most weather conditions Availability to work Mon - Fri, 30 – 35 hours per week Current valid drivers license Ready to learn and enjoy working independently and autonomously On time, reliable, punctual and able to meet strict deadlines Flexible and comfortable with daily travel What we can offer A fully equipped and maintained company vehicle and tools of trade Flexible hours giving you a work-life balance Staying healthy is easy when you make walking and being active a regular part of your day.
