In difficult retail trade, the pressure on the Merchandise Planner role intensifies. Re-works & replans become the norm, hours extend and stress levels go through the roof.
In these times, we know Planners are looking for a culture and leadership team that supports them, shields them from some of those pressures and works side by side to find solutions.
These Planning Managers are rare, the ones that don't add to the pressure unnecessarily. So, when an opportunity to work within one of these teams comes up it is definitely something to think about. The turnover is low & this role has arisen due to an internal move across the business.
If you are looking to move to a business that is trading well in challenging times and has a strategic & supportive leader, this may be for you. In speaking with many Planners every week, we get a gauge of the most important aspects to you & we know this is high on your list.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Planner to join this business where creativity meets strategy. This is a traditional Merchandise Planning role, where you will work alongside the Buyer and Design team across one portfolio - not a merger of three. You won't be expected to be working after hours & over the weekend in this company.
This is an organisation that nurtures talent and empowers team members to grow and develop their planning & leadership skills. You will have access to learning opportunities & career development initiatives designed to help you grow personally and professionally.
As part of the planning team, you will optimise inventory levels, forecast demand and maximise profitability. Working closely with the product team allows you to identify emerging markets & new initiatives that will set you apart from the competition.
