About the Opportunity We currently have exciting opportunities for motivated Mentors on a full-time, fixed-term position until December 2024 (possible extension), located in Katanning.
We believe in empowering and enabling Mentors to be the decision-makers and design their program delivery with the ultimate purpose of building proud young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls with good spirit.
The Mentor role focuses on program delivery and assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls between the ages of 10-18 years, as well as supporting the Deadly Sista Girlz Coordinator in program-related requirements.
About you: Have established connections to the local Aboriginal community Passion for helping Aboriginal youth, with the ability to provide mentoring and assistance to youth with a range of complex and varied needs Have the ability to work with youth of different ages Demonstrate organizational and time-management skills Ability to work unsupervised and within a small team Be disciplined and honest Have high-level communication skills, both verbal and written Commitment to program processes including administration and evaluation Be proactive and have the ability to show initiative Sound knowledge of general office procedures What We Offer You: An attractive salary including Salary Packaging Employee Assistance Program Staff Giving Program Health and Wellbeing Program A friendly, supportive, and flexible work environment The role is a full-time position working from Monday to Friday during the School Term with some flexibility required to meet the needs of the program and participants; however, part-time may be considered for the right candidate.
