We are seeking an empathic, self-motivated Mental Health & Wellbeing Intern for a 6-month fixed term, full time internship opportunity at the Housing with Support service.
Key Responsibilities: Support clients to get the support, care, and treatment that is important to them through a stages approach to recovery.Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate group work programs that will assist clients to build their skills, focus on their recovery, and work towards transitioning back to their natural community.Provide support to clients' families and carers as appropriate.Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated, integrated response to clients' recovery goals.What You'll Bring: Tertiary qualifications are not required but evidence of enrolment and commitment to completing the Certificate IV in Mental Health or Diploma of Mental Health is required.Some experience in working with people with mental health and alcohol and other drug issues, complex needs, and with their families and carers is desirable.Ability to provide information and mentoring to build capacity, establish social relationships, create community networks, and access to relevant services.Understanding of facilitating group activities is desirable.Understanding of the Community Services sector and ability to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams, and key stakeholders.Benefits: Salary packaging up to $15,900 p.a. allows you to allocate a portion of your pre-tax income to cover living expenses (e.g., rent, mortgage, childcare, car leasing expenses, etc.).Option to access Meal and Entertainment allowance up to $2,650 p.a. via Salary Packaging.Learning, development, and career opportunities.Interested?
