Mental Health Recovery Worker - Health and Wellbeing (Residential) Community Services | Launceston
Permanent, part-time positions based in Rocherlea These roles are a minimum of 100 hours over a 4 week roster period.
About us: Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to ageing and disability, health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.
About the Role: The Residential Rehabilitation & Recovery Services provide step up and step down intervention in addition to medium term residential support in a community setting. Employees work collaboratively with mental health services to provide individualised psychosocial and skills-based support and therapeutic group activities.
The successful applicants will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas: Knowledge and experience in supporting people who have severe and persistent mental ill health; Knowledge and skills in providing effective psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery including intake, non-clinical assessment, recovery planning, referral, and effective exit planning; High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to conduct non-clinical assessments; A minimum qualification of a Diploma of Community Services; First Aid and Assist Clients with Medication accreditation (training can be provided). The successful applicant will be required to: Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021; Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months); Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16; Provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical; Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence. On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
