Temporary full time opportunity to employ specialised project management skills and high-level stakeholder engagement to develop a model of care, associated procedures, and a staffing model to expand the scope and function of the Police Communications Centre Mental Health Liaison Service (PCC MHLS) in delivering the Mental Health Real-time Rapid Response (MH-RRR) pilot project.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Develop and implement effective communication strategies to foster engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians and executives within the Hospital and Health Services and across the QPS.Establish required structures to support project governance and stakeholder consultation.Manage risks and issues identification, assessment and mitigation activities within the project by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate through the project governance structure.Apply latest evidence and advanced-level understanding of complex, contemporary, clinical practice standards as relevant to the coordination of information and provision of mental health advice in crisis situations.Develop a model of care based on extensive consultation and informed by data.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), by actively supporting the elimination of racial discrimination and institutional racism; supporting increased access to health care; influencing the social, cultural and economic determinants of health; supporting the delivery of sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health services; and recognise the importance of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations to design, deliver, monitor and review the health and support services we provide.
