About the Service:
Launceston Medicare Mental Health Centre/Head to Healthis an innovative mental health service funded by Primary Health Tasmania, providing a one-stop hub and mental health support for people aged 18 years and older.

Role Overview:
The Mental Health Practitioner is key to service delivery within Launceston Medicare Mental Health Centre/Head to Health, and will:
Deliver short- to medium-term, evidence-based, best-practice interventions and conduct group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans for people 18 years of age and over
Work collaboratively in service delivery, planning, and development
Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders
Requirements:
Mental health-related degree (e.g.
psychology, social work, counselling) and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding assessment and care planning
Sound understating of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWVP
Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
