The Outer Community Team, part of the MH&W adult mental health services, provides community mental health care to consumers in the City of Melton and parts of Brimbank. This role involves delivering recovery-oriented community mental health services while aligning with the specialist ACIS function. ACIS clinicians are also required to serve as key clinicians for a small, allocated number of consumers, supporting their recovery journey.

Key Requirements And Essential CriteriaMinimum 2 years' experience in clinical services within high-demand environments, managing consumers with complex needs.Proven experience in acute mental health functions (e.g., crisis assessment teams) and in the assessment and treatment of individuals with mental illness or psychiatric disability.Strong knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, mental health legislation, and relevant public mental health policies.Solid understanding of consumer rights and responsibilities, promoting informed choices for recovery.Ability to coordinate care by communicating and advocating effectively for consumers and their families/carers with internal teams and external providers.Commitment to consumer-focused, recovery-based, and culturally sensitive service delivery.Capacity to work inclusively with consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds, gender-sensitive practices, and family-based frameworks.Familiarity with AMHS, evidence-based interventions, and managing high-risk, complex consumer behaviours.Understanding and practical application of professional Codes of Ethics.Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve, negotiate, and collaborate effectively.Compliance with all legal and professional registration requirements.High reliability and professional conduct.Current Victorian Driver's Licence and ability to drive work vehicles.Contact PersonAnkush Sahni
