The Hinterland Mental Health Service at the Moranbah Community Mental Health Centre is seeking applications for a Mental Health and Other Drugs Clinician (Clinical Nurse) to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your opportunity As a member of the Hinterland Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (AODS), this position will deliver high quality evidence based clinical services to consumers presenting with mental health and/or AOD issues in a rural setting.This will include intake/triage, clinical assessments, evidence based therapeutic interventions and treatments as well as case management, group/family work across the service's programs as required.This position reports operationally to the Team Leader, Hinterland Mental Health Service, and professionally reports through the CCS Program Manager/Allied Health Director Mental Health and AODS to Discipline Director in the MHHS.About the Team Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service The Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the MHHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex mental health problems. Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented and are provided in a variety of settings including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals and emergency departments.
Hinterland Mental Health Service This position is part of the Hinterland Mental Health Service, located in Moranbah (200km west of Mackay) and provides outreach mental health services to Clermont, Dysart, Middlemount and Glenden. There is the expectation that successful applicants would travel to provide outreach to the above-mentioned locations and to Mackay for training and/or professional supervision on an ongoing basis.
