Opportunity to sub-specialise within the areas of surgical and medical oncology nursing. Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Specialist Melanoma Nurse to join our Oncology department on a part time, fixed term basis until 2026.
The Specialist Melanoma Nurse is responsible for delivering expert nursing care, clinical advice and support to inpatients/ outpatients, nurses, and other health care professionals with regards to high risk and advanced melanoma. The Specialist Melanoma Nurse is an advanced practice nursing role that incorporates high level clinical service, clinical leadership, research, education and clinical services planning and management to optimise patient outcomes. The Specialist Melanoma Nurse will be expected to work predominantly within the treatment settings for advanced and high-risk melanoma. The Specialist Melanoma Nurse will work closely with the Medical and Surgical Oncologists as a key part of the treatment team.
