Your new teamWe are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our bacteriology, mycology and parasitology team at VIDRL.
This is a full-time fixed term position (LSL replacement for 8 months), working 80 hours per fortnight, based at the Doherty Institute.
Your new roleParticipate in the diagnostic procedures carried out in the Bacteriology, Mycology and Parasitology LaboratoryAccurately interpret, validate, and communicate test resultsAssist in the performance of quality control procedures and monitoring of reagentsMaintain accurate records of results of the tests performedYour success in this role will be in your ability to:Hold a Degree in Science or Applied Science specialising in MicrobiologyHave experience in bacteriology, mycology, and parasitology, and standard molecular biology techniquesPossess diagnostic experience with a collaborative working styleExhibit effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional developmentDemonstrate a sound understanding of quality control protocols and NATA requirementsOur Commitment to youAt The RMH, we strive for excellence with a strong purpose that defines the work we do for our community – Advancing health for everyone, every day.
