Analysis, interpretation and reporting results in all areas of haematology, biochemistry and transfusionStartup, maintenance and troubleshooting of all analysersInterpretation and review of QC and QA samplesTimely provision of results to clients and medical practitionersAdministrative duties including answering phone calls, scanning, faxing, filing as directedCleaning duties and compliance with WHS standards in a modern laboratoryRostered hours will include day shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays, as well as participation in the on-call/after hours rosterSpecimen reception and distribution duties within the SRA departmentProcessing and reporting urgent microbiology samplesSelection Criteria: Appropriately qualified with a Degree in Applied Science (MLS), Biomedical Science or recognised equivalent.Ability to act independently and within established guidelines, demonstrating initiative, flexibility and sound judgement.A keen eye for detail and exceptional accuracy in data transfer operations.High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new laboratory information systems.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with an understanding of quality control and quality assurance.Experience in operating and troubleshooting modern automated technology would be an advantage.Commitment to continuing professional development, education and training.Must have the ability to permanently live and work in Australia at the time of application.Must have an unrestricted Australian driver's licence.To Apply: To be considered, you must submit a cover letter addressing the selection criteria (numbered 1-9) and a copy of your current resume via Seek.
