The Role: The primary focus of Medical Scientist - Cytology is professional involvement in the routine preparation and diagnosis of gynaecological and non-gynaecological cytology specimens for inpatient and outpatient services at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Examine routine cytological specimens and participate in the FNA service.Adhere to laboratory procedures and national guidelines.Participate in quality assurance and continuing education activities.Assist in the evaluation and commissioning of new equipment and reagents.Educate and provide advice to staff and users of the cytology service.The Team: Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, all our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce.

Details of appointment: Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $71,441 - $107,878 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
