2025 Medical Registrar (Advanced Trainee) General & Subspecialty Medicine Fixed Term - Full Time 03/02/2025 – 01/02/2026 86 Hours, per fortnight $56.30-$77.50 per hour + Salary packaging About the role Our recruitment is done in partnership with the Western Victorian Regional General Medicine Advanced Training Program – combinations of six-month rotations in Geelong, Ballarat, and Warrnambool can be facilitated.
All positions have been structured to accommodate a more senior Advanced Physician Training experience and needs as appropriate - there is a deal of flexibility with the roles that can be tailored to the Advanced Physician Trainee's needs.
Ballarat rotations: Core GenMed: Senior Medical Registrar Med C / Endocrinology Core GenMed-related Senior Medical Registrar Med D Core Subspecialty Cardiology (Acute), ICU (Acute), Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Renal, Respiratory.
Geelong rotations: Core GenMed: Senior Medical Registrar x2 Core GenMed-related: Senior Medical Registrar x2 Senior Medical Registrar St John of God Hospital Geelong Core Subspecialty: ICU (Acute), Cardiology (Acute), Gastroenterology, Respiratory (Acute), Geriatrics, Palliative Care Warrnambool rotations: Core GenMed: Senior Medical Registrar (Warrnambool Base Hospital Senior Medical Registrar (St John of God Hospital Warrnambool) Core GenMed-related: Consults Registrar (Warrnambool Base Hospital) Critical Care Medical Registrar (Warrnambool Base Hospital) (Acute) We provide regular education, including protected teaching time for our Advanced Trainees.
We have an attached clinical school with students from Deakin University at Ballarat, Geelong and Warrnambool as well as University of Melbourne students at Ballarat.
