Medical Receptionist

Salamander Bay, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSW Medical Administration (Healthcare & Medical) IPN Medical Centres support the Australian community, operating over 160 Practices across the country and providing over 10 million patient consultations each year. IPN forms part of Sonic Healthcare, a leading global healthcare company headquartered in Australia.

About the role IPN's Receptionists provide a high standard of customer service and administration to patients and Doctors. Supporting the successful running of the centre, the role includes: Greeting patients, answering telephone calls, patient triage and booking patient appointments Document scanning and email management Patient billing and payment collection Working as part of a team supporting the Practice Manager

Skills & experience

Medical receptionist experience (highly regarded but not essential) Strong proficiency in, or ability to quickly pick up document scanning processes Ability to develop quality working relationships and work in a busy team environment Exceptional customer service, data entry and communication skills Proven multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills Experience using Best Practice or other practice management software (highly desirable but not essential)
