We have an opportunity for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Ballarat Doctors.We require an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, with a "can do" attitude towards all tasks, and the ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team. This will be a growing practice, so a bubbly personality is a must, as well as the ability to think on your feet!Your responsibilities will include:Open and close clinic as per set procedureGreet patients and other callers in a professional and courteous mannerMake appointments for patientsEnsure medical records are managed confidentially and efficientlyAccurately process patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transactionsInvoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, WorkcoverKnowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing proceduresDeal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists, etc., courteously and helpfullyAttend to patient enquiriesCheck and handle internal emailsFill in the roster when staff is away, on holidays, and sick leaveMaintain the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy, including the clean up of spills if necessaryEnsure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing, and filing of all documentsAt all times maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial informationComplete recallsSupport the day-to-day operations of the medical centreExceptional customer service and teamwork skillsHigh level of computer literacy and IT knowledgeExperience using Best Practice is desirableIn addition, the candidate must also provide the following:Current Police CheckCurrent Working with Children clearanceCurrent First Aid/CPR certificateImmunisation RecordDriving Licence/Photo IDSelection Criteria:Demonstrated ability to work in a teamExperience with Medical software (Best Practice/Medical Director)Demonstrated strong organisational and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including multitaskingDemonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writingDemonstrated commitment to quality patient servicePrevious Medical Receptionist experience is preferredIf you would like to become part of a team that cares and you meet the requirements above, please click on Apply or send your resume to ****** short-listed candidates will be contacted.Expected Start Date: ASAPJob Types: Part timeSalary: Remuneration will be negotiable based on experience.
