Medical Receptionist/ Administration OfficerMedical Receptionist/ Administration Officer Casual role – approx. 20 hours per weekFree parkingSupport our Clinical Team of 20 visiting VMO'sThe Opportunity Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking a Casual, experienced Medical Receptionist/ Administration Officer with the view to permanent part time with an immediate start. The position is responsible for management and leadership of general practice and for the operation of organisational objectives, policies and procedures with the aim of meeting agreed standards in patient care, human resources and budgetary management.
As the Practice Manager your responsibilities will include: The day to day running of the Medical CentreThe provision of accurate and timely financial and practice dataDevelopment of organisational systems to maximise productivity in the practiceThe organisational review and personnel management function for the General Practice team as per Healthscope PolicyContinuous review of the operating environment including HIC opportunities, as per guidelinesDevelopment of the staff to ensure a client service culture, in partnership with local Division of general practice where ableUnderstanding of appropriate IT policies, as per Healthscope PolicyThe day to day running of the practice, with support from State ManagerAbout You To be successful in your application, you will: Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical recordsPerform Health Fund Checks as requiredManage the collection of excesses/co paymentsCoordinate with staff from other departmentsComplete other clerical tasks such as data entryQualifications: Minimum 1 year of administrative experience (or equivalent)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Excellent organisational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and work independently while maintaining accuracyA positive and proactive attitudeEager to learn and grow within a dynamic environmentWould you like to know more?
