We are seeking a motivated, proactive, experienced, reliable medical receptionist to join our small, friendly team on a casual basis.
In this role you will be travelling to multiple consulting sites with surgeons to provide excellent support and service to the surgeons and their patients.
This position includes both one-on-one work with the surgeons for the off-site role, and front of house reception when back at our main clinic.
The focus of this role includes:
Managing patient enquiries, including telephone, email and in-person.Managing internal messaging and tasks from both the medical and administrative teams.Managing theatre bookings, quoting and billing, patient accounts, hospital communications, investigations and correspondence.Patient liaison.General administrative duties, medical practice administration, management support.Answering telephone and maintaining a computer-based appointment system.All aspects of electronic records, appointments, scheduling, billing and receipting.Accurate cash and EFTPOS transactions and banking reconciliation.Assisting in general office duties as required.Flexibility to work across several locations.We are looking for someone with these qualities:
Attention to detail.Excellent telephone manner.Proven ability to work under pressure in a very busy medical specialist environment, use initiative, follow procedures and prioritise tasks.Reliable, strong work-ethic, flexible, and wiling to help cover leave of other team members.Warm and welcoming customer service focus, both in person and by telephone.An ability for form strong positive relationships with your work colleagues.An ability to remain compassionate and empathetic to patients while working efficiently under pressure in a busy practice.A whiz with computers and fast at learning new software systems (mention your experience with healthcare software in your application).Data entry skills.A collaborative worker within the administration team, contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of work processes and a range of systems.A natural at working with computer software systems in a paperless office.Car and driver's licence is essential due to the off-site travel associated with this role.Current National Police Clearance, CPR Certification, Working with Children Check, and unrestricted Australian work rights.Your application should ideally include:
