We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager for a busy Group Orthopaedic Practice.
Hollywood Orthopaedic Group is made up of 13 Orthopaedic Surgeons with a team of 16 administration staff, an Orthotist and a Practice Nurse.
We pride ourselves on a professional and inclusive culture, and we are looking for a dynamic team leader to drive ongoing practice development.
The Practice Manager works under the direction of the Principals of the practice. Please see an outline of the duties below.
General Purpose of Position The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall practice operations including Human Resources, Financial records and to implement quality systems. The Practice Manager under direction of the Practice Principals, assists in the promotion of positive patient interactions, positive staff and community relations and effective patient care.
Responsibilities of the Practice Manager Work with Principals to develop and implement strategies for achievement of the practice's vision and goalsRecruitment, development and management of administrative staffCoordinate staff to ensure adequate coverage of reception and individual administrative positions and arrange cover for sick and annual leaveProcess Staff wages, Superannuation and Workers Compensation and manage administrative leave entitlementsMaintain appropriate human resources systems and a safe work environmentCoordinate staff meetings, attend regular practice meetings and special practice meetings as requiredPrepare financial reports and taxation records as required by Principals and liaise with external AccountantsCoordinate accounts receivable (with Principal approval)Maintain office stationary and equipmentMaintain knowledge of and comply with Government legislation and regulation, contractual obligations of the practice and relevant Industrial AwardsDevelop, maintain and annually update appropriate practices and procedures for the business (ie Practice Manual) in association with Principals and staffSkills and Knowledge The Practice Manager is expected to have demonstrated achievement or capability in the following areas:
Strong leadership and team building skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalA broad understanding of the requirements of running a small to medium medical practice (or similar)Time management and ability to prioritiseCommitment to continuing educationKnowledge and understanding of current legislation and privacy lawsSkills in accounting and business reportingShape & drive culture with the ability to foster open communication within a teamYour application will include the following questions:
