A unique patient focused opportunitySubject matter expertise in OphthalmologyField-based medical affairs role for NSWThe Medical Patient Journey Partner (M-PJP) is a local customer facing role unlocking value along the patient journey - from mostly offering world-class medicines towards integrated solutions, much more partnering, innovating and leading generative disruption.
The M-PJP is a medical affairs role with a reporting line culminating with the Country Medical Director; this role has a Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) focus and operates at all times with non-promotional intent.
The M-PJP will be directly accountable to deliver better outcomes for patients, their community, the ecosystem and the organisation, faster (the "triple win").
What you will be working on: The M-PJP is an empowered leader and the local medical affairs face of Roche who has decision making authority to request resources of Roche. In this role, you will:
Proactively bring the outside in, working with partners to contribute to national strategy development and uncovering all potential opportunities to transform outcomes for patients, and bring the inside out, to bring Roche expertise, science, clinical studies and knowledge to the ecosystemUnder the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, share scientific information concerning a pharmaceutical product, including investigational findings in scientific media, direct communications and at scientific conferences with healthcare professionals and/or the scientific communitySteward products and services relevant to their therapeutic area/ecosystem throughout their lifecycle, supporting quality use of medicine and improved patient outcomesMaintain a broad understanding of relevant present portfolio and future pipeline such that they can anticipate and address future-based ecosystem and patient journey solutionsSupport Country Clinical Operations trial activities within their disease area/ecosystemAct as a trusted partner and is the primary point of collaboration between ecosystem stakeholders and RochePartner with patient journey stakeholders to remove roadblocks and unlock possibilities to deliver a shared value for the patients, the community and for RocheProactively pull in expertise to address "problems" with simple solutions. Identifies and requests/ recommends resources locally and from the network as neededCreate partnerships through ensuring great experiences whenever stakeholders in the ecosystem engage with Roche employees, products and services.Who you are: You are a true visionary, proactively uncover opportunities for creating better health outcomes for more patients faster. You have:
University degree (life sciences) and/or Healthcare professional qualification with practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies. An advanced degree in Life Sciences and/or MBA is a plusAt least 5 years of experience or equivalent in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with up to date knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of ConductScientific and Therapy Area expertise in mapping patient journeys and related treatments in the Ophthalmology area, enabling engagement at the specialist levelRobust strategic understanding and experience in tactical implementation of health solutions, including an understanding of clinical researchLearning agility, networking and Wisdom ExchangeStrong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and empathyWith strong business acumen, you demonstrate expertise in commercialization, medical and customer experience. You are excellent in stakeholder engagement including partnering with therapeutic area experts (TAEs) and organizations.
