We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Office Administrator to join our team.
The Medical Office Administrator will play a key role in managing the daily operations of our medical office, ensuring efficiency and high-quality patient care.
This individual will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including patient scheduling, medical record management, and insurance billing.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical office procedures and terminology.
  Responsibilities Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff and other departments as necessary Manage patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage for billing purposes Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed Assist with other administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical office administration is a plus Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance billing processes Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external partners Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
