Lake Imaging's new purpose built Private Diagnostic Breast Clinic will provide a premium breast imaging service to the patients of Geelong, using the best technology, Contrast Enhanced Mammography is the latest state-of-the-art imaging technique. ABOUT THE ROLE We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mammographer to work in the Warrnambool SJOG Hospital. Responsibilities include: Perform high level Mammography independently in accordance with prescribed professional and clinical standards within the multidisciplinary team setting. This service is provided with infrequent supervision. Participate in screening mammography and diagnostic mammography. Regularly participate in interventional diagnostic breast imaging as well as assessment clinics at the BreastScreen service, performing advanced level procedures. Provide a role in competency training, skill development and clinical supervision to less experienced Mammographers, ensuring maintenance of professional standards and adherence to IDX policies and procedures as well as BreastScreen policies and procedures. Implementation of quality assurance activities to continually improve patient/client care including analysing QA data and strategies to address issues. Discount medical imaging and health insurance. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE Qualifications in Medical Imaging (Bachelor of Science or equivalent). Current licensing and registrations; this includes registration with AHPRA and professional indemnity insurance. Extensive experience and competency in diagnostic breast imaging, screening mammography and assessment procedures. A willingness to participate in further education and continued professional development programs. Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Strong attention to detail.
