Permanent Full-Time $51.67 - $59.03 + Salary Packaging About the role Grampians Health is seeking a an ASAR recognised Cardiac Sonographer (Grade 3) to join our dynamic team in the provision of high-quality echo services to the local community.
The successful applicant will be joining an experienced and dedicated team and have the support of experienced team members.
The role will include echocardiography, Holter analysis and Cath lab if experienced.
We currently perform approximately 7000 echoes per year including adult, paediatric and neonatal TTE, adult TOE and Stress echo.
This position will be based in our new state of the art department at Ballart Base Hospital, part of Grampians Health Services.
Key Responsibilities Perform high quality echocardiograms Produce detail preliminary reports/worksheets Analyse and report a range of cardiopulmonary tests efficiently and accurately Provide compassionate patient care, and take responsibility for patient welfare and confidentiality Commit to continuous improvement by maintaining current knowledge and upskilling in new techniques/advances Skills and experience An ASAR recognised tertiary qualification in Echocardiography is required to be eligible to apply for this position Must be registered with ASAR as an accredited qualified Cardiac Sonographer Substantial knowledge of all aspects of echocardiography Demonstrate highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Awareness of and sensitivity to the unique requirements of clients from disadvantaged groups Advanced skills in the effective participation in a multi-disciplinary team The ability to maintain effective work relationships and clinical effectiveness in an environment which is often pressured An understanding of and commitment to the principles and systems of continuous improvement in the access.
