Competitive annual salary of $103,826 - $116,069 per annum and 11.5% superannuation Ability to salary package up to $15,900 per annum plus a further $2,650 per annum on Meals and Entertainment Darwin City or Nhulunbuy 6 weeks annual leave (if Nhulunbuy-based) or 5 weeks annual leave (if Darwin-based) + 17.5% leave loading About Miwatj Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we're committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yol?u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, and 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region.
To be considered for the Media, Marketing and Communications Officer role, candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, along with an understanding of the challenges faced by Yolngu people in remote areas. Tertiary qualifications in media, communications, journalism, marketing, or digital marketing are essential, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders. Candidates should have experience in graphic design and desktop publishing, the ability to handle sensitive information independently, and a proven track record in project management. Additionally, high-level research, analytical, and critical thinking skills are necessary.
