Job Description Project:
HumeLink East involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West.
Role: (Part Time role. 3-4 days a week)
As the Media & Communications Manager, you will be accountable for delivery of project's contractual and regulatory requirements for communications, government relations, and media. This includes developing and implementing targeted communication strategies and materials for internal and external communications. This role is also responsible for providing advice to the wider project team on matters relating to timely provision of information, internal communications, media requirements, proactively identifying issues and promptly responding to concerns raised.
Key responsibilities: Develop, manage and evaluate as necessary mainstream, social and digital media management protocols.In consultation with relevant project SMEs and the Communications and Stakeholder Relations Lead, proactively develop and regularly update a six-month look ahead detailing key construction and project milestones for promotion.Proactively develop and regularly update a weekly media opportunities calendar, including project key milestones and promotional opportunities.Proactively identify and develop opportunities for both the internal and external promotion of team initiatives and individuals.Develop for review, implementation, and regular evaluation an Internal Communications Plan.Manage all aspects of planning for, and hosting, site-based photo and video shoots and timelapse footage compilation.Work collaboratively with the client to respond to media enquiries received.Contribute to weekly and monthly internal and external project reporting requirements.Serve as the primary contact for the client for the preparation, review and approval of all social media, digital and media materials.Required Skills and Competencies: Tertiary Education in Communications or equivalent industry with substantial experience providing strategic communications advice and services ideally in the construction, mining or energy sector.Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.Exemplary planning and negotiation skills.Able to build effective relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders.If you feel like you meet some or all of the above - Apply Now!
