A high-performing state school in Glen Waverley is seeking a passionate and innovative Drama and Media Teacher for a fixed-term, full-time contract commencing in Term 1. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Drama and Media lessons, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of media concepts and dramatic arts.
This role requires a commitment to preparing students for assessments while promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The teacher will work closely with colleagues to support student achievement and may have opportunities to contribute to relevant extracurricular activities in the arts.
Key Duties:Deliver engaging Drama and Media lessons in alignment with curriculum standards.Teach core concepts in Drama and Media, highlighting real-world and practical applications.Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support growth.Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs and foster an inclusive classroom.Manage classroom behavior to create a positive, dynamic learning environment.Collaborate with colleagues on school initiatives and arts-related programs.Skills & Experience:Completed relevant Qualifications in Education.Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration.Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.Demonstrate previous experience as a Media and Drama Teacher - Graduates are welcome to apply too!Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).How to apply:To apply, follow the link provided or apply on our website.
