Outstanding opportunity for experienced Media/Communications Officer to work with a supportive, passionate team of professionals in Toowoomba NFP!Our client, a respected not-for-profit charitable organization based in Toowoomba, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Media and Communications Officer to join their expanding team. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to play a key role in enhancing the organization's media presence and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive media and communications strategies.Serve as the primary liaison with local media, identifying and facilitating media opportunities for organizational representatives.Proactively identify and leverage opportunities to share impactful stories of patients, donors, supporters, and sponsors across various media platforms.Research, draft, and distribute media releases, speeches, and related collateral as needed.Provide content development support for digital communication channels, including social media and the organization's website.Create compelling content for print and online campaigns, including video production and blog writing.Identify and apply for relevant grants and awards to support the organization's initiatives.Write and proofread articles and other communications materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with the organization's messaging.Qualifications and Skills:A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar media, communications, or marketing role.Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of communication mediums, including digital and social media, report writing, and press release creation.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.A tertiary qualification in Business, Media, Public Relations, or Communications is preferred.
