Public Relations & Corporate Affairs (Marketing & Communications)Government - State (Government & Defence)The Tasmanian Liberal Government is seeking highly skilled applicants to be considered for the position of Media Adviser based in Hobart.Applicants should have highly developed communication and media management skills, with the ability to consult with a wide range of stakeholders across media organisations, government, and industry. The role requires the development and planning of a range of comprehensive communication material including media releases, speeches, communication strategies, and media plans that support and promote the values and policies of the Tasmanian Liberal Government and implementation of our 2030 Plan for Tasmania's Future.The successful person will be able to work well under pressure with tight deadlines, in a team environment with competing priorities and have relevant experience working in the media and communications industry. A broad knowledge of current affairs, and an understanding of the social and political framework in Tasmanian politics is also highly desirable.The position is full-time and salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant.To apply, please provide your CV, along with a 2-page cover letter that outlines your interest in the role and your skills, capabilities, and experience relevant to the position.
