APG is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson for a 12 Month contract within a Port Macquarie NSW Government Sector. APG is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson for a 12 Month contract within a Port Macquarie Government Sector. $47.89 per hour + Super Location: Port Macquarie 12 Month Contract Role - Possibility of extension Hours of work: 38 Per Week Primary Purpose Of The Role The role will safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment. Key Accountabilities Safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment. Perform a wide range of routine and complex labouring/ manual tasks, including the use of a variety of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools, to assist with the completion of work activities. Work is completed under limited supervision and may be done in a team environment or independently. Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refueling and checking fluid and maintain records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items Solve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved. Provide guidance to team members, including apprentices/trainees, leading the work output of a small unit as required, to develop capability and ensure team tasks are completed effectively. Essential requirements Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent. Current Construction Industry White Card. Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's license. Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed. Candidates must have a MVRIC license. Candidates must have (or willing to obtain within their first month) a MR license.
