RoleSummary: TheMechanical Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity basedat our Kwinana Power Station site. The objective of the role is tocarry our high level technical and supervisory activitiesassociated with the operation and maintenance of Kwinana GasTurbine Plants within and external to Synergy.
Reporting tothe Technical Team Lead, The Technical Officer (Kwinana) willprimarily be responsible for planned and corrective maintenance andoutage activities at Kwinana / Cockburn Gas Generationsite.
Keyresponsibilities of the role include:
Undertake operations andmaintenance work at Kwinana and Cockburn Gas Generationfacilities as per business requirements Plan,supervise, coordinate, or carry out activities, associated withthe manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation,maintenance, and repair of equipment as well as associatedsystems as required Carryout technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendationsand/or arrange necessary action Managemaintenance outage projects in accordance with budget andschedule whilst maintaining quality standards Prepareand assess designs, calculations, estimates, sketches,specifications, and tenders, working drawings andschedules Whatyou'll bring: Certificate IV or abovein Mechanical discipline A tradecertificate in Mechanical discipline Minimumof 8 years' experience in the maintenance and operationof Gas Turbines or power generating plant Strongknowledge of inspection/testing practices and experienced inequipment maintenance/repair practices.
