Simplot Bathurst is referred to as "The Home of Edgell", being the original birthplace of the well-loved Australian brand. A large investment of $100 million has recently been made at the site, transforming it into a frozen vegetable centre of excellence, enabling increased production capacity, and ultimately help boost local and export volumes.Reporting to the Area Maintenance Manager, this permanent day shift Mon-Fri role will coordinate planned maintenance activities, provide continuous improvement support and provide coverage for other Mechanical Team Leaders where required. This role will also involve leading a team of tradespeople (incl. shift & day work Fitters + apprentices & casual / contract labour) to meet the site's production and maintenance schedules in order to optimise plant reliability, minimise costs and improve employee safety.
