Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for:
Routine and breakdown maintenance as well as inspection and monitoring of assets
Maintain close liaison and co-operation with operations teams.
Manage the day-to-day performance and work activities of the team.
Build strong customer focus between maintenance and operating departments.
About You
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Relevant trade qualification (i.e. Fitter and Turner)
Ability to work within a team environment.
A desire to work flexibly to ensure safety, environment and production targets are met.
High-level communication skills, with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
Sound knowledge in the metal processing industry (or similar).
SAP experience is desirable, but not essential.
Knowledge or understanding of continuous improvement is desirable, but not essential.

Nyrstar Hobart is a large-scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometers from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city center. The facility uses the RLE process for zinc production. Hobart's key products are SHG zinc, die-cast alloys and continuous galvanizing grad (CGG) alloys. In addition, the site produces by-products of cadmium, copper sulfate, paragoethite, lead sulfate, leach concentrate and sulfuric acid.
This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location.
