In this role, you will be required to work alongside a crew of like-minded tradespeople to deliver maintenance onsite.MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Repairing and maintaining machinery and equipmentScheduling and completing the company's 'Preventative Maintenance Program'Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method, and sequence of operations and machine settings.Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub-assemblies to produce machines and equipment.Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments.Setting guides, stops, and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and setting controls for textile machines.Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerance using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore, and drill metal.Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.May erect machines and equipment on-site.Attending daily maintenance situations and breakdownsAttending weekly maintenance meetings and toolbox talksSKILLS & EXPERIENCES:Trade Certificates - Engine Reconditioning/ Fitter & Turner/ Machinist and/or other related industry qualificationsStrong experience in a similar role will be highly regardedBe punctual and reliable, self-motivated, problem solver & team playerStrong interpersonal & communication skillsBasic computer literacyYou must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required.You have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process.As part of The Midfield Group, you will also have access to our comprehensive employee benefits program:Above award base rates, generous bonuses & opportunity for career progression within our global organisationSafe and supportive work environment by providing an Employee Assistance ProgramOn-site canteen, free parking, staff discounts, monthly staff BBQs, and annual flu vaccination programSalary Range: AUD70,000 to AUD135,000The Midfield Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
