Mechanical Fitter – Quarry Crusher Experience. TSS Visa Sponsorship Full time
Our client, a leading quarrying company in Australia, requires 4 Mechanical Fitters to be based at 2 Quarry Sites in Central Victoria, Australia.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a quarry environment on fixed crushers and screens, strong work ethic whilst maintaining a high focus on safety and compliance.
Working Hours: 40 hours + Overtime & Penalties Duties & Responsibilities
Carrying out strip assessment and inspections on crushers and crusher assemblies. Rebuilding crusher components. Test running rebuild assemblies. Chute and plate maintenance. Skirt replacement and adjustment. Roller inspections and replacements. Pully refurbishments and replacements. Belt Cleaner maintenance; installations and upgrades of scrapers. Change Bearings & Implement continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and systems. Identifying parts for replacement repairs and completing reports. Preparing parts for inspection and assembly. Ensuring that the sites fixed, and mobile plant mechanical systems are maintained to meet operational requirements and all relevant Australian and Statutory Standards. Ensure all mechanical-related information such as procedures, and prestart inspections are routinely reviewed/completed and up to date. Provide after-hour support for breakdown repairs. Assist with the coordination of external contractors. Afternoon and night shift requirements. Adhoc duties that arise. The ideal candidate for this role would possess the following attributes and qualifications:
Experience in Jaw, Cone & Impactors crushers. Knowledge of electrical circuits for fault finding. Knowledge of Mig Welding, Arc Welding and Oxy Acetylene Cutting. Trade Qualifications in mechanical fitting and/or Boiler Maker. Proven experience in operating quarry equipment including crusher, conveyors, and screens. Valid Drivers Licence. Confined Space. Working at Heights training. Any Elevated Work Platform/Dogging/Rigging tickets would be highly regarded. Lock out Tag out (LOTO). Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously and in a team. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards the job. Salary and Benefits

Hold a Recognised International Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting Fixed Plant (Red Seal, City and Guilds, FETAC etc). To Hold, or be able to pass a Cert III Trade Assessment (Vetassess or other recognised body ) for the Visa application. Hold an IELTS or PTE English Test Certificate (5.0 Minimum in all 4 sections), or be a citizen of UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, or New Zealand, or to have been taught in English for at least 5 years at secondary or tertiary education. Be in a financial position to support your application and associated costs. Be able to move to Australia as soon as your Visa is granted (preferred ).
