Location: Broadmeadows, VICHourly Rate: $46 per hourShift: Day and Night Shifts AvailableEmployment Type: Full-time, Ongoing Randstad is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client, a leading bakery based in Broadmeadows.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring all mechanical systems and machinery are maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on bakery equipment and machinery.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and other production machinery.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults quickly to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and procedures.
Support the continuous improvement of mechanical processes and efficiency.
Skills & Experience: Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Cert III or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally in food production or manufacturing environments.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
Flexible to work both day and night shifts.
