MECHANICAL FITTER • APS 4 • Ongoing/ non-ongoing • $74,998 – $79,386 • Onsite only • Full-time position The Mechanical Fitter produces circulating, numismatic and investor coins, medals, tokens and medallions; and colour-printing for Australia and foreign countries using precision and high speed minting equipment. They perform tool setting tasks, assist with regular maintenance, repairs and improvements, and perform diagnostics and unscheduled breakdown rectification.
A relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience is required.
The successful applicant is required to work full-time and on-site. The duties of this position include:
Undertaking the setup, adjustment and maintenance of plant and equipment. Undertaking general fitting and mechanical trade activities. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Using computer based packages to maintain service records. Assisting with risk management activities including safe work method statements. Assisting with on the job training of trades staff and apprentices. Participating in flexible on call rostering. Security clearance
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
