The Company & Location: Join a leading engineering and fabrication company who employ close to 50 staff.
They work on a variety of mechanical maintenance, fabrication and assembly projects across NSW.
This includes delivering large scale solutions within the manufacturing, construction and energy sectors.
We are seeking someone who is based within a 1 hour drive of Tumut, NSW.
The Snowy Valleys and wider regions offer an amazing work/life balance with extensive outdoor pursuits on the doorstep i.e.

The Job: Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to support their team in performing crucial shut-down maintenance and other mechanical fitting duties.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large variety of mechanical machinery and equipment and learn new skills.
Work will include regular travel to client sites and you will enjoy the support of a highly experienced team.
This is a permanent position with extensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities: Perform shut-down maintenance work and typical fitter duties.
Maintain and assemble mechanical machinery and equipment, including gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, silos and more.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
Welding and fabrication work when required.
Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within set timelines.
Skills & Qualifications Required: Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
Proven experience in the maintenance and assembly of mechanical machinery and equipment.
Familiarity with common mechanical systems such as gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and silos.
Knowledge of hydraulics, flange management and PLC's would be helpful, but not essential.
Possession of relevant workplace tickets such as White Card, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Rigging would also be a big advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
