An exciting opportunity for an SMP Estimator has presented itself within the Energy & Utilities Business on a permanent basis. Our Energy & Utilities division is excited to welcome a highly skilled SMP Estimator to our team.
In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Estimator and be responsible for delivering precise and compelling estimates and presentations for a wide range of projects, including greenfield, brownfield, maintenance, and capital improvement initiatives.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our estimating process adheres to established protocols, and you'll be tasked with preparing subcontractor and supplier requests, as well as conducting thorough commercial and pricing vetting analysis.About You:We are seeking an accomplished SMP Estimator with the following qualifications and experience: Substantial experience in structural, mechanical & piping project estimation, preferably within the energy & industrial industry, demonstrating the ability to evaluate work packages, identify scope anomalies/complexities through both simple and intricate drawings, and create clear and concise tender handover packages for the operations team upon project award.Ability to evaluate, identify scope anomalies/complexities through simple and complex drawings.Capable of producing first principal estimates (bottom-up estimates) and have a good understanding of estimate norms and benchmarking.Proficiency in multi-discipline estimating and a strong command of estimating software, with a preference for expertise in Candy, as well as proficiency in Microsoft programs.Capable of preparing cash analysis, detailing qualifications, and tender assumptions, and maintaining a master record of costs and products for estimating purposes.Provide sound, qualified decision-making to the estimating process, following process and protocols.A proven track record of building and nurturing strong working relationships with clients and sub-contractors.Driven by a focus on results and excellence, with a high degree of autonomy and a sense of urgency.Strong business acumen with a sound understanding of commercial drivers.What We Offer:We provide a wide range of benefits, including: Diverse and engaging work with exciting projects and future expansion opportunities.Flexibility in working arrangements and an attractive compensation package, based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Hexham with the possibility of considering other locations.Collaboration within a team of industry experts, affording you the opportunity to learn and develop key quality capabilities.Employee benefits including health and wellness initiatives.If you are an accomplished SMP Estimator with a passion for delivering precise estimates in the energy industry and are looking for a dynamic and growth-oriented environment, we encourage you to apply.
