Mechanical Engineering Trainer/ AssessorLeedsFull time - 37hrs per weekPermanentSalary up to £36,364 per annum
The Role:Within the role, you will be doing a mixture of training and assessing - 2 days per week tutoring/training, 2 days per week assessing, and 1 day per week set aside for prep/paperwork etc.
You will be working within the college's Engineering department, supporting, teaching, training, and assessing Mechanical Engineering students on their courses of study. Learners will be on courses levels 1 - 3 and cover subjects such as:
Conventional Turning & MillingHand FittingBasic CNC Milling & TurningCAD CAM / 3D Printing6 Axis RoboticsGeneral Engineering - H&S, Communications & Organizational EfficiencyBusiness Improvement Techniques - Lean ManufacturingHydraulics & PneumaticsBasic Electrical Installation for Maintenance EngineersTechnical Drawing - Paper based on drawing boardsMechanical PrinciplesElectrical PrinciplesMeasurement & InspectionYou will be responsible for delivering education and training to high standards along with preparing student materials, assessing and marking student work, and carrying out student tutorials and assessments to ensure each student is achieving their best during their time in the college.
The Person:We are therefore seeking individuals that are passionate about Mechanical Engineering and have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The individual will also have experience working with students or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting while being upbeat, motivational, and knowledgeable in the subject area to educate and inspire learners.
