We know that our success is the result of more than 4,000 talented people working together to achieve amazing outcomes. Reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for creating certified, safe, and legally compliant engineered solutions for WesTrac.
This role involves designing, developing, and capturing certified Dealer Provided Options (DPO) for external customers.
Additionally, it includes the design and assessment of certified workshop equipment and tools to ensure safety and legal compliance.
The role involves creating approved engineering designs and solutions, analysing Engineering Design Orders (EDO) and Dealer Provided Options (DPO) with stakeholders, suppliers, and CAT systems to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities include compliance, safety, and risk assessments, manual calculations, stress analysis, and documenting designs.
The engineer will produce risk reports, functional safety assessments, quality documents, and manufacturing packs, provide ad-hoc engineering support, and maintain records in line with WesTrac quality systems.
