Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating precise engineering drawings and designs that contribute to the success of our projects. Duties & Responsibilities: Design Documentation:Develop, manage, and maintain detailed models & drawings for various projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.Develop and refine mechanical designs based on project specifications.Prepare technical drawings and 3D models using industry-standard design software.Collaboration and Teamwork:Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and other team members to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve project outcomes.New Product Development:Support the development of new products from concept to production, including design iteration and prototype evaluation.Prepare and maintain documentation, including design calculations, technical reports, and project records.Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for design optimization and contribute to the enhancement of engineering processes and practices.Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas and improvements to the team.Professional Development:Engage in ongoing learning and development activities, such as attending training sessions & workshops.Seek feedback and guidance to continuously improve technical skills and career competencies.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure all drawings adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular reviews and updates of design documentation to maintain compliance and relevance.Technical Support:Provide technical assistance to the production, procurement, and quality assurance teams as needed.Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues that arise during the manufacturing or assembly processes.Qualifications – Licences, Certificates & Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.2-5 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design.Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), PDM, and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of 3D scanning techniques is a plus.Familiarity with mining machinery, including dump body trays & buckets.Strong understanding of fabrication standards, welding specifications, assembly instructions, and general arrangement details.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.Desired Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) for creating detailed design documentation.Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.Exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress and structural analysis.To be successful, you will need: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) for creating detailed engineering drawings.Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for evaluating design performance under various conditions.Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.Time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.Familiarity with fabrication & welding standards and best practices in design and manufacturing.Basic knowledge of materials science and their applications in design.About You:
